Job Summary

The successful candidate will possess the skills, knowledge, abilities and appropriate licensure to:

• Administer first aid, medication and specialized medical treatment for the purpose of providing appropriate care for ill, medically fragile and/or injured students.

• Conducts programs such as health screening, health education, etc. with specified training.

• Reports students with contagious diseases to local public health authorities for the purpose of minimizing infection and complying with the law.

• Performs a variety of clerical duties; type reports, correspondence, forms, notices, and referrals; maintains files and duplicates materials as needed.

• May assist medically fragile students in the classroom and may travel between sites if needed to monitor and implement individualized health services to students.

• Establish and maintain effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

Hours: 35 Hours a week
Anticipated Site: Districtwide--location may vary with assignment; starting assignment at Union Mine High School
Annual District Health Benefit Cap $11,186.65 pro-rated based on contracted hours
