Medical Assistant (BHS)

Position: Medical Assistant
(Certification: MA, LPN, or RN)

Location: Brighton High School

Reports To: Building Principal & District Nurse

Affiliation: BESPA (Division 1 - Health Care Professional)

Daily Schedule: 175 Days/year, 5 days/week (M-F), 7 hours/day
Days and times align with annual Student Calendar & Building Schedule

Salary: $25.97/hr with current RN license
$23.82/hr with current LPN license
$21.64/hr with Medical Assistant (MA) certification or equivalent

Job Summary:
Health Care Professionals will primarily assist students with medical & physical needs in our buildings. As part of our District medical team, Health Care Professionals' duties include some of the following tasks: monitoring ill students, providing direct medical care to students, monitoring vital signs, keeping charts & records up to date, assisting in the school and clinic areas as needed, stocking medical areas, communicating with families via phone & computer, and other duties as assigned.
