Caperion Computing Nearshore Remote - Network Technician & System Administrator (T2) for MSP
Description
This post is exclusively for our Nearshore team. Candidates must be pre-qualified, if you wish to apply please email [email protected] and state why you believe you would be a good fit. Failure to complete this step first means your application will be instantly discarded. Side-stepping our process will disqualify you from all job opportunities in the future.
We're an IT consulting firm and managed service provider headquartered in Delray Beach, Florida, in business over 20 years. We support commercial businesses across our region and nationally with managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, connectivity and data protection.
Our nearshore team isn't a call center or an overflow queue. You'll be a full member of our technical staff, working the same clients, the same tickets, and the same escalation path as our US based engineers.
HOW WE WORK
We own the outcome, not the ticket. Anyone can close a ticket. We stay with a problem until the client's business is actually working again. As we tell our clients: backup without monitoring is just hope — we don't hope, we verify.
Documentation is the job, not the paperwork after the job. If it isn't written down, it didn't happen, end of story.
We invest in people who invest in themselves. We set annual education and certification benchmarks, and we back them with time and funding. Techs who grow here move up here, diligence and loyalty are rewarded.
One team, multiple countries. Our engineers nearshore and US are peers. Same standards, same expectations, same respect.
Clients know our names. We're not a portal and a queue. Our clients call people they know, and we answer.

First name, Last name, Email, Headline, Phone, Address, Photo, Education, Experience, Summary, Resume, Cover letter
- Please describe the technical environment of your current (or most recent) position, including the number of users, number of IT staff, your duties, who you reported to and who if anyone reported to you. Further, please elaborate on the tools that you used, and what your schedule and work load looked like.
- Tell us about your passion for technology. If you had the time and resources to pursue a technical project, whether it is build, design or solve a particular problem — what would you do? Describe the project in detail and what you want to accomplish.
- This position is fully remote, and your home workspace is effectively our office. Please describe your work environment in detail — the space itself, how it's separated from the rest of your household, and what conditions look like during business hours when you're on client calls. Include your internet service and reliability, your plan when power or connectivity fails, and how equipment we provide would be secured.
- Describe the most recent technical course, certification, or self-guided learning you took on — what it was, when, what prompted you to pursue it, how it went, and whether it resulted in any certification. If you've started something and not finished it, tell us about that as well.
- How would the coworkers who know you best describe your personality and the way you operate? Then tell us where you think that description is accurate and where it isn't. What would our team need to understand about you to work with you well across a distance? Finally, describe a situation where your personality was an asset in your work, and a separate situation where it got in your way.
- Because of the small size of our organization, the position involves performing a wide variety of tasks, such as answering phones, end user helpdesk as well as complex projects like security, connectivity, environment design, complex cloud and vendor integrations and long term project management. How do you feel about performing not only on-level, but also tasks that are not technically challenging?
- Punctuality and reliability are non-negotiable in this role. We operate by the rule "if you're not five minutes early, you're already late," and we hold ourselves and each other firmly accountable to promises and deadlines. Describe how you maintain that standard in your everyday and work life. Then tell us about a time you failed to meet a commitment at work — a deadline, a shift, a callback you promised. What happened, and what did you do about it?
- This role includes coverage outside normal business hours. Today that means taking your turn in an on-call rotation — watching for emergencies during evenings and weekends and responding or escalating quickly when something comes in. It may also come to mean assigned evening or weekend shifts in place of daytime hours. Both are part of the job. 1) What are your first thoughts? 2) Does anything in your weekly schedule conflict with either arrangement? 3) How would you make certain the duty is completed? 4) How would you measure your own success at it?
- What are some of your hobbies and ways that you spend your time outside of work?
- Our nearshore and US teams work together daily but rarely in the same room. Describe what has made you feel genuinely part of a team in past roles, and what you'd want from us to feel that way here. If we held optional gatherings or calls outside normal hours, how would you approach that?
- At this time, it is expected that you have thoroughly reviewed the job posting detail including: requirements, responsibilities, expectations and expected salary range. Please describe within a couple sentences how this position will meet YOUR future goals and objectives with respect to these categories. Do you have any specific questions for us that we can answer upon our next communication?
