Position Summary
Performs diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, including general and cardiac studies and treatments. Uses advanced computer systems to process and present studies in a format ready for interpretation by nuclear medicine physicians.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Education
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program.
- Minimum Work Experience
- 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Required Licenses/Certifications
- NMTCB (CNMT), or ARRT (ARRT(N) )
- Texas Medical Board-MRT
- AHA CPR/BLS
- Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Ability to establish intravenous access
- Ability to safely handle radiopharmaceuticals
- Perform injections for pharmacologic stress testing
- Follow required radiation safety protocols to satisfy Texas Radioactive Materials Licensing Board requirements.
- Knowledge of EKGs and Stress Test Systems
- Knowledge of Radiology Information Systems
- Knowledge of PACS
- Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record Systems
