One-on-One Tutor — Hartley Elementary School
Schedule: 12:30–1:10 p.m.
3 days per week
Hartley Elementary School is seeking a tutor to provide individualized instruction for a first-grade student. Instruction will begin with foundational phonics skills and may expand to additional literacy skills and other subjects based on the student's needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide explicit, systematic instruction using evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with the classroom teacher to align tutoring with the student's learning needs.
- Monitor progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Build a positive, encouraging relationship that supports confidence and engagement.
Qualifications:
- Must have completed a Minnesota READ Act–required literacy training, such as LETRS or CORE OL&LA.
- Experience supporting elementary students, particularly in foundational reading skills, preferred.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and reliability.
Salary:
$18.15/hour - Entry level/base rate for candidates meeting the minimum required qualifications.
$40.72/hour - Premium rate for candidates who hold an active teaching license.
