# Performance Test Engineer ## Job Summary We are seeking a **Performance Test Engineer** with over **5 years** of hands-on experience in performance testing large-scale on-premises and cloud-native applications. In this remote position, you will design, implement, and maintain performance test frameworks while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal system performance. Your expertise in performance testing tools, analytical skills, and effective communication will directly contribute to improving application performance and overall system reliability. ## Responsibilities - Develop and implement comprehensive performance testing strategies that align with project goals. - Design and plan performance test scenarios and test cases, establishing clear objectives and success criteria. - Configure and manage test environments to closely replicate production setups, collaborating with IT and DevOps teams. - Execute various performance tests—including load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests—using tools such as **JMeter** and **Neoload**. - Monitor system performance during tests by capturing key metrics (response time, throughput, resource utilization) and analyze results to identify bottlenecks. - Provide actionable recommendations for performance optimizations, mentor junior testers, and lead performance testing initiatives within the CI/CD pipeline. ## Qualifications - **5+ years** of experience in performance testing for large-scale on-premises and cloud-native applications. - Proficient in performance testing tools including **JMeter** and **Neoload**. - Strong understanding of web technologies, including **HTTP/HTTPS protocols**, **RESTful APIs**, and **SOAP**. - Experience with web development frameworks and tools such as **HTML**, **CSS**, and **JavaScript**. - Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve performance issues. - Strong communication skills for effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams. - Experience integrating performance tests into CI/CD pipelines. ## Preferred Skills - Familiarity with continuous performance testing practices within modern DevOps environments. - Experience mentoring junior team members and leading project initiatives. - Knowledge of additional performance testing frameworks and automation tools. ## Experience - A minimum of **5+ years** of hands-on performance testing experience, specifically with large-scale on-premises and cloud-native applications, REST APIs, and web services. ## Environment - This is a **remote** position, providing flexibility while ensuring effective collaboration with IT, DevOps, and development teams.
