JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active Virginia medical license
• DEA: Yes
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Experience: Completion of Family Practice residency
• Other Qualifications: Bilingual preferred; Knowledge of state/federal laws for CHCs

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides comprehensive primary care services including preventive care, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
• Performs physical examinations, determines necessary x-ray and clinical laboratory tests, and interprets results to implement treatment plans.
• Participates in surgical, obstetrical, gynecological, and critical care procedures according to training and demonstrated ability.
• Determines need for consultation and assists in medical care treatment provided at the direction of other specialists.
• Instructs other healthcare providers and non-medical personnel in health-related topics, including first-aid and cardiac life support.
