Title: PRESCHOOL PARAPROFESSIONAL

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent

Reports To: Building Principal

Performance Responsibilities:

To aid and support the teacher in the pre-kindergarten program

1. Assist students in achieving academic success
2. Reinforce instructional activities with students as prescribed by the teacher. Provide one-on-one or small group instruction to students.
3. Assist students by providing proper examples, emotional support, a friendly attitude and general guidance.
4. Perform outside playground duties.
5. Prepare materials for instruction.
6. Assist students in non-instructional areas, such as supervising the student lunch programs, bus duty, playground duty, and other related non-instructional areas.
7. Follow district policy and procedures.
8. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Services, the building principal or superintendent.

Terms of Employment: Wage and length of contract to be determined by the Board.

Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the board's policy on evaluation of support personnel.
