Description

About the role:

J.P. Morgan's U.S. Private Bank Digital team is reimagining how the world's most sophisticated clients become clients. We are hiring a Vice President, Product Manager to lead the design and delivery of a brand-new onboarding experience — a cornerstone of our Becoming a Client (BAC) journey — that will transform how prospects transition into fully engaged Private Bank clients.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for a product leader who thrives in ambiguity, builds from a blank page, and can balance exceptional client experience with the realities of regulatory, operational, and platform complexity. You will own the vision, roadmap, and execution for a product that materially shapes the first impression every new Private Bank client has of J.P. Morgan.

Responsibilities:

Product Vision & Strategy

  • Define and own the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for a net-new Private Bank onboarding experience.
  • Translate client, advisor, and business needs into a differentiated digital journey — one that reflects the Private Bank's standard of service and the complexity of our clients (multiple accounts, positions, lending relationships, trusts, and entities).
  • Partner closely with PB Exchange, CRM, JPO, and the broader BAC ecosystem to ensure continuity from prospect to fully onboarded client.

Discovery & Design Partnership

  • Lead deep discovery with advisors, prospects, operations, legal, risk, and compliance to uncover pain points and opportunities.
  • Partner with Design to co-create prototypes rapidly using AI-native tools and workflows — moving from idea to clickable experience in days, not weeks.
  • Champion a research-driven, hypothesis-led approach grounded in client complexity and advisor realities.

Execution & Delivery

  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle: discovery, definition, delivery, measurement, and iteration.
  • Write crisp specs, prioritize ruthlessly, and partner with Engineering to ship high-quality releases on committed timelines.
  • Define success metrics (time-to-fund, drop-off, advisor effort, client satisfaction) and instrument the product from day one.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Build strong, accountable partnerships across Legal, Risk, Compliance, KYC, Operations, Marketing, Advisor teams, and shared platform partners.
  • Navigate shared-platform tradeoffs (speed, control, brand, roadmap influence) with clarity and conviction.
  • Communicate crisply with senior stakeholders, including MDs and executive sponsors, with a bias toward written clarity and visual storytelling.

AI-Native Ways of Working

  • Embrace and advance our AI-native operating model — using AI tools for research, prototyping, specs, and competitive analysis.
  • Raise the bar on team practices and contribute to the shared knowledge base and templates that elevate the broader Product organization.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product management experience, including building complex, consumer-grade digital experiences from zero to one.
  • Demonstrated success shipping products in regulated environments (financial services, healthcare, or similar) — ideally including onboarding, KYC, or account opening journeys.
  • Strong product craft: discovery, writing, prioritization, roadmap definition, and metrics-driven decision making.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across Design, Engineering, Legal, Risk, and Operations without formal authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence senior stakeholders with clarity and precision.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and complexity — you thrive when there's no playbook

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in wealth management, private banking, or sophisticated client segments where financial complexity is the norm.
  • Familiarity with onboarding, data collection, or client data orchestration products.
  • Experience designing for advisor-led experiences where both the end client and the professional user matter.
  • Fluency with AI-native product tools (prototyping, research synthesis, spec generation) and genuine curiosity about how AI reshapes product work.
  • Experience operating across distributed teams (US onshore + offshore partners).
  • Undergraduate degree required; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
