Nursing With a Different Kind of Purpose!
At Four Oaks, nursing goes beyond medications, appointments, and medical charts.
You'll have the opportunity to get to know the youth you're caring for, build positive relationships, and become someone they can trust when they need help.
Our youth need more than medical care. They need patience, understanding, encouragement, and someone who genuinely cares about their well-being.
As a PRN LPN, you'll work alongside a team dedicated to helping youth feel safe, supported, and healthy while using your nursing experience in a rewarding environment.
What You'll Do
As part of our nursing team, you'll help provide medical care, coordinate services, and support the overall health and safety of youth in our programs.
Here's what your shifts could look like:
-
Make a difference with every interaction! Build positive relationships with youth while supporting their medical and emotional needs.
-
Put your nursing skills to work! Assess health concerns, provide medical triage, and determine when additional medical attention is needed.
-
Keep medications on track! Safely administer medications and oversee proper medication distribution, storage, and returns.
-
Help coordinate care! Assist with medical, psychiatric, and psychological appointments and follow-up services.
-
Stay organized! Maintain accurate medical records, physician orders, and healthcare documentation.
-
Support a healthy environment! Assist with TB testing, infection control, and other health and safety practices.
-
Share your knowledge! Provide health education and assist with CPR, First Aid, and other staff training.
-
Be a trusted resource! Help residential staff respond to medical questions and concerns.
-
Help us improve! Review medication errors and participate in quality improvement efforts.
-
Keep safety a priority! Identify and report medical, safety, and public health concerns.
-
Work as a team! Collaborate with nursing staff, residential teams, and other professionals to support youth in our care.
-
Provide additional support! Assist with periodic daytime or overnight on-call needs as scheduled.
