Position Overview

TACG is seeking a Production Engineer – Die Cast to support and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling. This role focuses on optimizing production efficiency, reducing costs, improving equipment performance, and ensuring safe, high-quality manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate has a strong engineering background, experience in manufacturing or production engineering, and the ability to lead projects and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate manufacturing processes for cost effectiveness, feasibility, and production efficiency.

• Lead Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, improve productivity, and optimize manufacturing operations.

• Coordinate engineering releases and process changes, including production routings, standards, documentation, and quality follow-up.

• Utilize CAD software to design and develop equipment and component drawings, including 3D modeling and motion simulation.

• Apply engineering principles related to machining processes, robotics, geometric tolerances, and manufacturing process design.

• Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives, including cost-per-piece improvements.

• Support the design, development, and fabrication of specialized tools and equipment.

• Implement tooling improvements to reduce equipment cycle times and maintenance costs.

• Maintain accurate documentation for new tooling and equipment, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD files.

• Lead or support tooling and engineering projects from planning through implementation, ensuring project objectives are met.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing challenges and improve overall equipment and process performance.

• Promote a safe working environment and support applicable safety, quality, and environmental requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering required.

• Two to five years of experience in manufacturing or production engineering preferred, particularly in machining or related manufacturing processes.

• Experience with computer numerical control (CNC) equipment and knowledge of cutting tools, cutting methods, and machining processes strongly preferred.

• Ability to perform electrical and mechanical design and analysis.

• Experience with CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD, preferred.

• Understanding of manufacturing processes, project management, and continuous improvement principles.

• Knowledge of general safety, health, and environmental policies.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Ability to analyze data and communicate findings and recommendations to management.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities.
