This is a hands-on leadership role, reporting to the Operations Director.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the production organization at the Kungsbacka site, including team leaders, production employees, and continuous improvement/production coordination resources.
  • Ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient production by driving structure, standards, good order, and clear ways of working in assembly-based manufacturing.
  • Execute the production plan by securing resources, competence, material flow, and production efficiency in close collaboration with relevant functions.
  • Develop daily management and visual management routines that create transparency, accountability, and clear follow-up of performance.
  • Strengthen KPI follow-up across production, including productivity, delivery performance, quality, efficiency, competence flexibility, and improvement progress.
  • Drive Lean, 5S, standard work, and continuous improvement to improve flow, reduce variation, and create sustainable ways of working.
  • Build structured problem-solving capabilities in production, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and follow-up of improvement initiatives.
  • Increase production’s ownership of quality follow-up, including scrap, non-conformities, root cause analysis, and corrective actions in close cooperation with the Quality function.
  • Improve competence flexibility by supporting skills development, cross-training, and more scalable staffing and resource planning.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including production planning, purchasing, order-related functions, quality, R&D, finance, and HR.
  • Coordinate selected site responsibilities and contribute to a well-functioning, structured, and improvement-oriented site environment.
Preferred Competencies
  • Structured, present, and pragmatic leader who enjoys being close to the shop floor.
  • Motivated by creating structure, improving flow, and building sustainable ways of working that make production more predictable and less person-dependent over time.
  • Strong change leader who can engage people, challenge old ways of working, and make new standards stick.
  • Hands-on and self-driven, with the ability to both lead through others and personally drive improvements when needed.
  • Calm under pressure and used to environments with demanding customers and high delivery expectations.
  • Strong knowledge of daily management, visual management, KPI follow-up, Lean, 5S, standard work, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Able to analyze production and quality data together with relevant functions and translate insights into concrete improvement actions.
Experience and Education
  • Solid experience from leading production teams in assembly-based manufacturing, industrial operations, or a similar production environment.
  • Experience leading through team leaders or supervisors is highly preferred.
  • Good understanding of material flow, resource planning, competence flexibility, and production efficiency.
  • Experience working with production and quality data, including follow-up of deviations, scrap, non-conformities, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Confidence using ERP systems and production-related digital tools.
  • Relevant education within production, engineering, operations management, industrial management, or equivalent experience.
