Project Designer – Digital Infrastructure (CoreSync)
Description
Your Job
CoreSync is a digital building platform delivering IP-native, PoE-based smart infrastructure integrated with a scalable digital architecture layer.
We are seeking a Project Designer to support the delivery of CoreSync’s internal design service offering.
This role is responsible for producing detailed project-level design packages that will be issued to certified ecosystem partners for execution. The Project Designer works under the guidance of the BIM Manager/Designer to ensure every supported project aligns with CoreSync architectural standards, digital data requirements, and platform integrity.
This is a high-impact technical role focused on scalable design production and documentation.
Our Team
The role reports directly to the Director of Technology (CoreSync) and works in close collaboration with Sales Engineering, the Product Team, and ecosystem partners such as VARs and system integrators. It also interacts regularly with design consultants and MEP firms. The primary responsibility of this position is to execute technical designs, translating requirements and concepts into practical, implementable solutions.
What You Will Do
Project-Level Design Production
Develop complete technical design packages for CoreSync-supported projects, including:
• Device layouts:
- PoE lighting
- PoE shading
- Plug load control
- Environmental sensors
- Water leak detection
• PoE switch topology diagrams
• Network architecture diagrams
• Riser diagrams
• Equipment schedules
• Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Panel schedules
• Control narratives
• Drawing sets suitable for partner execution
Deliverables will be issued as:
• Design Issued for Partner Execution (DIPX)
• Partner proposal attachments
• Construction-ready documentation packages
________________________________________
BIM & Modeling Execution
• Develop coordinated Revit (MEP) models
• Produce AutoCAD drawings where required
• Coordinate low-voltage and PoE infrastructure with MEP disciplines
• Support clash detection and resolution
• Maintain model cleanliness and tagging consistency
________________________________________
Digital Architecture Alignment
• Implement CoreSync naming conventions
• Apply asset hierarchy standards (space → floor → building)
• Ensure device tagging aligns with platform ingestion requirements
• Validate data readiness for digital twin onboarding
This role ensures physical design supports digital architecture.

Partner Support During Execution
• Support ecosystem partners during project delivery
• Respond to technical RFIs
• Assist with design clarifications
• Participate in design review meetings
• Ensure deviations do not compromise CoreSync standards
________________________________________
Sales & Pre-Sales Support
• Assist in early-stage conceptual designs
• Support feasibility validation
• Contribute to proposal drawings
• Provide technical documentation for bid packages
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field
• Several years experience in:
- MEP design
- Low-voltage systems
- Smart building infrastructure
• Strong proficiency in:
- Revit (MEP preferred)
- AutoCAD
• Experience delivering construction documentation packages
• Solid understanding of:
- Power over Ethernet (PoE)
- Structured cabling
- Lighting control systems
- Low-voltage design
• Familiarity with CSI Div 25/26/27/28
What Will Put You Ahead
• Experience with smart building or digital twin platforms
• Exposure to enterprise commercial real estate projects
• Knowledge of Project Haystack or Brick schema
