A snapshot of your key responsibilities as Python Engineer would be:

· Develop and maintain Python applications and services as part of a legacy system migration and modernisation programme.

· Support the migration of existing systems, applications and processes to Python-based solutions.

· Review legacy code and existing functionality to understand dependencies, identify improvement opportunities and support effective migration.

· Design, develop and integrate software components, ensuring solutions are reliable, maintainable and fit for purpose.

· Work with microservices architectures and cloud-based environments, including AWS.

· Develop and support integrations between enterprise applications, APIs and business systems.

· Troubleshoot technical issues, investigate defects and support testing to ensure the quality and stability of migrated solutions.

· Collaborate with technical colleagues and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.

· Produce and maintain technical documentation relating to application design, integrations and migration activities.

· Support ongoing improvements to application performance, data quality and operational processes.

Requirements:

· 5+ Years of Strong hands-on experience in Python software development.

· Experience developing, maintaining or modernising applications in an enterprise or business-critical environment.

· Experience migrating legacy systems or applications to Python.

· An understanding of application migration, legacy systems or software modernisation.

· Experience working with APIs, application integrations and backend services.

· Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to understand existing code and develop effective solutions.

· Experience working collaboratively with technical teams and translating requirements into practical software solutions.

Desirable Experience

· Experience developing microservices and working with AWS.

· Experience with SAP migration projects or SAP integrations.

· Exposure to Microsoft Graph API, SharePoint Online or other enterprise application integrations.

· Experience working with complex enterprise systems and supporting technology transformation initiatives.
