Quality Engineer

Your Role

As a Quality Engineer at Aptiv, you will play a key role in ensuring manufacturing excellence, improving product quality, and supporting customer satisfaction. Working closely with production teams, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders, you will monitor quality performance, lead structured problem-solving activities, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process. Roles and Responsibilities

Process Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Monitor and analyze key quality performance indicators (KPIs) such as Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), scrap rate, and First-Time Quality (FTQ). Lead corrective action plans and process improvement initiatives when KPIs fall below target.
• Utilize statistical tools such as SPC (Statistical Process Control), Pareto charts, and other process validation methods to ensure manufacturing processes are stable and capable.
• Manage the non-conforming product process, including implementing effective containment actions and directing appropriate rework or disposition.
• Conduct periodic audits of finished goods and determine appropriate sample sizes to ensure products meet all specifications.
• Provide quality-related training and guidance to production teams, including operators, team leaders, and quality technicians, on new processes, quality controls, and reaction plans.

Customer Quality & Problem Solving

• Lead problem-solving activities using structured methodologies, such as the 8D process, to identify root causes and implement robust corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Validate the effectiveness of containment actions for both internal and external customers to minimize the impact of quality issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address customer concerns and support all quality requirements.
• Support and participate in internal and external quality system audits, including ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.

Your Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
• 2+ years of experience in an automotive manufacturing quality function
• Proven experience leading problem-solving activities and applying quality tools, including 8D, SPC, MSA, and FMEA
• Strong understanding and experience with Quality Management Systems, including IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with customers and internal teams
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple customer requirements, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
• 100% fluency in business English is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
• Proficiency in quality-related software and tools, including Minitab and statistical analysis software
