REEVES | Asphalt Paving Superintendent - Duncan, SC

Mission

Reeves Construction Company is currently seeking an individual for the position of Asphalt Paving Superintendent based out of Duncan, SC. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

Main Responsibilities

• Responsibilities include but not limited to: Management of asphalt crews/asphalt foremen, planning, scheduling, customer interaction, reporting of job progress to management and overall quality of the project.
• Ensures compliance with health, safety and environmental rules and guarantees the quality of project implementation: controls the QHSE procedure, approves the quality plan, ensures compliance with the contract and requirements of the stakeholders, assures that equipment, systems, and components can be constructed without unnecessary delay
• Proposes the project organization: establishes the organization chart, defines the key functions, proposes and/or constitutes the team in possible relation with the project's stakeholders
• Guarantees compliance with local regulations ,analyzes the risks inherent in these regulations
• Applies the contract management policy and prepares legal remedies: participates in work meetings, validates work situations, coordinates the drafting of claims, etc.
• Ensures the financial management and cost control of the project by committing to quantified objectives: prepares invoices, reporting, tax returns, organizes management control, monitors contract amendments, etc.
• Leads the executive committee by communicating key information, etc.
• Prepares and manages the schedule by coordinating all the actors: is the driving force
• Is the company's representative and manages customer relations

Requirements

• 5+ years’ superintendent experience or 10+ years’ of foreman experience (preferred)
• Experience in asphalt paving and road construction
• Must have good communication skills and basic computer skills
