Job description
We are recruiting for a Private Office Registry Manager. This is a challenging and exciting role that sits in the heart of HM Treasury. You will be responsible for helping ensure the smooth operational running of the Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury’s Office (the Registry), where support is delivered to a high and consistent standard. The role means being accountable for supporting the Exchequer Secretary’s, the Economic Secretary’s and the Financial Secretary’s write round issuance and returns process.
Key accountabilities for this role include:
- Running XST’s, EST’s, and FST’s responses to cross-government write-rounds, working in tandem with the other Ministerial offices including the Chancellor’s office
- Coordinating the office's response to Freedom of Information requests, ensuring they are responded to in a timely manner.
- Managing the XST’s office email inbox;
- Ministerial registry support including:
- IT and tech for offices
- GPA and physical office management
- ad hoc office support.
While the majority of your duties will be formed from the above list, the office ultimately provides a wraparound service for the XST and pride ourselves on being flexible, practical and adaptable, as well as stepping in to help each other out to support the office as a whole to run. We are looking for someone who is flexible, adaptable, and willing to do what is necessary to provide an excellent service.
Applicants will need to be an adept user of Microsoft Outlook and Office, able to independently prioritise a busy workload to deliver to deadlines and communicate effectively with key stakeholders across Ministerial private offices.
We are looking for great teammates, comfortable with operating collaboratively. These are exciting opportunities to work on very high-profile issues, supported by friendly and collaborative teams in which individuals are encouraged to develop and thrive. You will be given lots of support to help you develop the skills needed. Diversity is very important to us, and we welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.
