Description

About the Role

Build the edge-to-cloud infrastructure that connects, updates, and monitors deployed robot fleets. You will work across on-device software, cloud systems, and fleet observability, partnering with robotics, autonomy, hardware, deployment, and web product teams to support reliable robot operations.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain production-grade C++ and Go software running on robotic platforms.

  • Build on-device systems for robotics software integration, local data buffering, and edge communications.

  • Design secure, low-latency data pipelines between robot fleets, cloud infrastructure, and web platforms.

  • Build and operate reliable over-the-air update systems for robots deployed in the field.

  • Develop telemetry, logging, monitoring, alerting, and fleet dashboard capabilities.

  • Optimize edge software for reliability, performance, resource use, and resilience in real-world environments.

  • Collaborate across hardware and software teams to deliver fleet-scale capabilities and improve uptime.

What We're Looking For

  • Three to ten years of experience in robotics or IoT infrastructure engineering.

  • Production experience with C++ and Go, including software for embedded or edge devices.

  • Experience building edge-to-cloud pipelines and deploying or managing OTA updates for device fleets.

  • Experience developing fleet observability, including telemetry, monitoring, alerting, or dashboards.

  • Cloud infrastructure experience with AWS or GCP, Terraform, and Docker.

  • Familiarity with networking protocols such as MQTT, gRPC, or WebSockets.

  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and working effectively in fast-moving environments; robotics or IoT startup experience is a plus.

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field is a plus.
