School Nurse (Perpetual Job Posting)

Major Functions:
School nursing is a specialized practice of professional nursing. It is a multi-faceted role that requires the combination of professional clinical nursing practice with a specialized component that promotes the health, well-being, academic achievement, and success of the school aged student.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid Mississippi Nursing License with no restrictions
• Certification in CPR and maintain requirements of certification
• Possess a minimum of one year of work experience preferably in the hospital setting or home health
• Possess good verbal and written communication skills
• Possess organizational and time management skills and the ability to communicate well with students, staff, and parents
• Possess the ability to work independently according to all nursing practice standards
