School Psychologist Intern -

Stipend:

• $18,500.00 per year

Hours:

• 9 months
• 7 hours per day
  • minimum of 3 days per week

Description:

• Open to advanced standing students enrolled in an accredited university program. Commitment is for a full academic school year.
• Grade level varies from early childhood through high school.
• Under the direct supervision of a Licensed School Psychologist, Internship experiences will include the following:
  • Selecting appropriate assessment instruments
  • Conducting assessments
  • Interpreting assessment information accurately
  • Screening/referral/evaluation process
  • Reporting assessment data in a clear and concise manner
  • Collaborating with school staff to design Individualized Educational Programs
  • Managing and coordinating required paperwork
  • Participating in building level MTSS activities
  • Conducting classroom observations
  • Providing consultation and training to staff and parents as needed
  • Demonstrating an understanding of individual and group counseling techniques as applicable
  • Opportunities are available at all grade levels (early childhood through high school)

Qualifications:

• Candidates must pass the Test of Academic Proficiency (TAP) test through the State of Illinois or qualify for the exemption ACT/SAT scores prior to beginning in the position
