Position: Secretary – Central Office

Salary: Based on the 2026-27 Approved Camden County Board of Education Salary Schedule

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Five years of clerical experience preferred
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Microsoft, Google, experience operating MUNIS preferred
• Familiarity with accounting software and coding of purchases, personnel, and other expenditures
• Valid driver's license required

DUTIES & RESPONSBILITIES:

• Provides administrative support for the Director of Safety and Security Department to include but not limited to:
  • Data entry of all volunteer background check information
  • Enters requisitions and financial record keeping
  • Assist, monitor and track safety data
  • Schedules meetings, field phone calls, file, scan, greet visitors, performs the usual office practices associated with a productive and smoothly run office
  • Assists with departmental initiatives, training and school safety activities
  • Maintains organized & confidential records, reports and documentation
• Communicates professionally with school administration, staff, law enforcement personnel and community partners
• Exhibits pleasant behavior when dealing with public or other employees
• Interacts positively with staff, students, parents and the community
• Maintains confidentiality and professionalism regarding student and school system affairs
