Duties and responsibilities related to the Security Officer role

• Flexi hours will vary each week and can range anywhere from 0 to 40 hours per week on four or five shifts or in certain circumstances this may be changed to work occasional 12-hour shift cover duty. This would be on four consecutive shifts of each week, Start and finish times dependent on working early, late, day or a night duty

• To undertake F&B Outlet Door Supervisor duties in accordance with the Licensing Act 2003 when assigned to Rakes on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. To control contracted agency Door Supervisors where required
• To undertake F&B Outlet Door Supervisor duties in accordance with the Licensing Act 2003 when assigned to Lady A on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. To control contracted agency Door Supervisors where required
• To attend rostered departmental training when assigned which may take place on a Tuesday
• Maintain constant vigilance throughout the entire property, particularly outlet entrances and exits, 24/7.
• To respond and investigate all alarm conditions or emergency/incident situations and or urgent calls for assistance within the hotel etc.
• To assist where necessary with locker and staff ID card issue and administration.
• To carry out effective regular patrols of the premises while on shift duty.
• To assist in the maintenance of records and issue of staff ID photo-cards and access control system.
• Carry out periodic checks on staff bags etc.
• To operate CCTV systems while on duty in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018.

About you

Previous experience in a security role is preferred. You are a professional, reliable, and vigilant individual with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to safety and security. You remain calm under pressure, respond effectively to incidents, and provide a welcoming and guest-focused service. An SIA licence and experience with CCTV or access control systems would be advantageous.
