Description
- Responsible for the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with German Commercial Code (HGB) and IFRS
- Prepare, post and review journal entries ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (HGB / IFRS) focus on fixed and financial assets, equity, accruals and provisions, shareholders and external loans
- Integration (onboarding) of new companies (Special Purpose Vehicles) including review of legal documents (contracts)
- Reconcile, analyze, validate and upload financial data (e.g. tenant accounting)
- Produce ad hoc reports as required by client
- Manage own deliveries and monitoring payments
- Complete monthly or quarterly VAT returns and Bundesbank reports / statistics
- Train and develop accounting staff, providing performance feedback and support
- Delegate tasks for development purposes and provide appropriate support and supervision
- Aim efficiency, automation and productivity by implementing the best accounting practices and improving the workflows and processes
- Collaborate and communicate with customers, other departments and team members, banks, auditors, lawyers and tax advisors
