Description
- Record daily inventory receipts to the general ledger.
- Reconcile cash daily by posting transactions to Great Plains.
- Own the Accounts Receivable (AR) process: proactively drive collections, manage aging reports, follow up with customers, and collaborate with the sales team to resolve issues and accelerate cash flow.
- Post customer payments via check, ACH, and wire transfers.
- Reconcile customer accounts, resolve discrepancies, and respond to billing inquiries.
- Support audits by preparing necessary schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Review and improve internal controls and accounting processes.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff.
- Review invoices for appropriate documentation, coding, and approval prior to payment.
- Prepare and perform check runs, ACH, and wire transfers in accordance with payment terms.
- Reconcile vendor statements, and research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
