Senior Accountant

You will prepare and review annual financial statements and disclosures, support month-end and year-end close activities, and manage intercompany and multi-currency accounting. You will reconcile accounts, analyse variances, ensure compliance with UK and US GAAP, support audits and tax provisions, and improve accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review annual financial statements and footnote disclosures for designated entities and UK consolidated financial statements
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Manage intercompany accounting across domestic and international entities
• Handle multi-currency transactions, revaluation, and translation
• Prepare balance-sheet reconciliations and resolve issues
• Prepare balance-sheet and income-statement variance analyses
• Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, US GAAP, and internal controls
• Research and review technical accounting questions
• Support external audits and tax provisions
• Identify and implement close-process improvements and automation opportunities
• Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses
• Assist with special projects

Requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualification
• At least three years of audit experience
• Knowledge of UK accounting standards, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements
• Experience with multi-entity consolidations and intercompany accounting
• Microsoft Excel proficiency, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
• Ability to use AI tools for financial analysis, reporting, and accounting processes while validating outputs and maintaining confidentiality
