Senior Backend Engineer with MLOps

We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with MLOps expertise to design, build, and maintain the infrastructure powering machine learning solutions, including ranking, recommendation, and pricing optimization systems.

🎯 Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable ML infrastructure for training, deployment, and serving in batch and real-time environments
• Build and maintain efficient data pipelines for large-scale processing and feature engineering
• Optimize compute resources and improve model-serving performance across ML systems
• Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
• Contribute to MLOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate closely with data scientists to streamline the model development-to-production workflow
• Research and integrate new technologies
• Mentor junior engineers
• Communicate technical solutions to diverse stakeholders

🛠️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
• 6–7 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or ML engineering roles preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and a language-agnostic approach to software engineering
• Strong proficiency in Java; Python experience is desirable
• Understanding of ML algorithms and model architectures
• Experience building scalable, reliable machine learning systems
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
• Experience with scalable data systems such as Spark and Kafka
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions
• Familiarity with ML model-serving technologies such as MLflow
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams

• Strong foundation in at least one of the following areas: software engineering, data engineering, distributed systems, or applied machine learning
• Willingness to develop expertise across the other areas as the work requires
• Passion for building robust machine learning systems
