Technatomy is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to build secure delivery pipelines and manage application lifecycle practices for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) pharmacy traceability project. You enable repeatable releases through traceable source changes, controlled environments, and reliable deployment and rollback procedures. You coordinate application, security, testing, and operations activities across approved hosting environments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Engineer build, validation, packaging, and deployment pipelines with approval gates, retained execution evidence, and traceability from reviewed source changes to released components.
• Implement environment separation, controlled configuration, secrets management, and appropriate deployment permissions.
• Integrate code quality, dependency, vulnerability, and security checks into delivery pipelines; route findings to owners and retain remediation, retest, and approved exception evidence.
• Maintain release artifacts, software bills of materials, version records, and traceability between source changes and deployed components.
• Automate repeatable environment and configuration tasks using approved scripting and infrastructure management practices.
• Work with release and application teams to validate deployment sequencing, compatibility, rollback, and recovery procedures.
• Troubleshoot pipeline and deployment failures, document operating procedures, and demonstrate deployment and recovery steps during knowledge transfer to service operations.
• Validate configuration and service identities across SAP, Azure integration services, and Dynamics 365 SCM development, test, UAT, and production environments. Coordinate SAP transport controls with the SAP platform team, protect production secrets, and verify failed-deployment recovery.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• At least 6 years of relevant professional experience in DevSecOps, release automation, or software delivery engineering.
• Experience engineering CI/CD pipelines and release automation for Azure-hosted applications or integration services, including version-controlled infrastructure, environment configuration, and deployment approvals.
• Proficiency with source control, scripting, automated deployment, and configuration management practices.
• Experience incorporating security scanning, secrets protection, and access controls into delivery workflows.
• Ability to troubleshoot build and deployment failures across multiple environments and dependencies.
• Experience maintaining reproducible release artifacts, operational documentation, and auditable change records.
• Ability to design pipeline permissions, configuration checks, and failure handling that protect production while supporting repeatable delivery and troubleshooting.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:
• Experience with SAP transports, Dataverse managed solutions with environment variables and connection references, or version-controlled Azure infrastructure deployments.
• Experience supporting software bills of materials and software supply chain security practices.
• Experience working within formal authorization and change-control processes.
• Prior experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or other Federal agency applications or projects.
EDUCATION:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
CLEARANCE:
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
