Senior Financial Controller

You will run entity closes, prepare reconciliations and financial reports, support audits, and write technical accounting memos. You will advise on product accounting, improve Business Central and close automation, query financial data, and coach junior controllers.

Responsibilities

• Run month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes
• Contribute to group consolidation, intercompany accounting, and eliminations
• Prepare and review balance-sheet reconciliations
• Resolve reconciliation breaks
• Prepare annual and half-year reports
• Support external audits
• Write technical accounting memos under IFRS and Danish FSA rules
• Guide Product and Technology on core banking accounting flows
• Drive Business Central and close-automation improvements
• Coach junior controllers

Requirements

• Experience in financial controlling or audit in a bank or regulated financial institution
• Core banking accounting knowledge, including deposits, lending, cards, payments, settlement, and clearing accounts
• IFRS and Danish accounting rules for financial institutions
• Experience preparing annual reports and working with auditors
• Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation and controlling
• SQL
• Data warehouse experience
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Big 4 financial services audit, state-authorised public accountant qualification, fintech or scale-up experience, or Danish proficiency are bonuses
