Senior Full Stack Developer (AWS)

Senior. Location: Toronto, ON - hybrid, 2 days onsite.

Red Pico is hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer to take ownership of backend architecture and development for end-user self-service and access visibility solutions. This role combines architectural responsibility with hands-on development of APIs, scripts and system integrations, with a strong focus on AWS-based solutions. You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into secure, scalable, reliable and maintainable applications while contributing to key architecture and design decisions.

Responsibilities:

- Design and own backend architecture for self-service and access visibility capabilities

- Develop and maintain backend APIs, scripts and system integrations

- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable backend solutions

- Define technical standards and development approaches

- Design solutions that are secure, reliable, maintainable and aligned with architectural standards

- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle

- Identify and address technical risks, dependencies and integration requirements- Support testing, troubleshooting, deployment and ongoing solution improvements

- Provide technical guidance and contribute to architecture and design decisions

- Maintain clear technical documentation for architecture, APIs and integrations

Qualifications:

- Experience with AWS and cloud-based application development

- Experience in application architecture and hands-on backend development

- Strong understanding of backend architecture, API design and systems integration

- Experience developing scripts and automation solutions- Ability to design scalable, secure and maintainable applications

- Knowledge of software development principles, design patterns and integration practices

- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions

- Strong troubleshooting, communication and technical documentation skills

Nice to have:

- Experience delivering end-user self-service solutions

- Knowledge of identity and access management or access visibility concepts

- Experience with enterprise applications and complex system integrations

- Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring developers- Understanding of DevOps, automated testing and deployment practices
