Senior Marketing Manager
Summary
Commodity Supplies is hiring a Senior Marketing Manager to lead positioning, messaging, and event strategy for its Cargoo and CSA Group brands in the logistics and freight industry. The role involves crafting marketing content, managing trade shows, enabling sales teams, and driving customer engagement through targeted campaigns and brand initiatives.
About the role
You'll craft how Cargoo and CSA Group are positioned to shippers, forwarders and procurement teams, and the messages that show up at our events. That means writing the messaging, testing it with sales and customers, and running the trade shows and summits where buyers meet us. Success is measured in meetings booked, pipeline created, media attention earned and social media growth. This is a hands-on role with ownership and accountability.
What you'll work on
- Positioning and messaging for each offering (procurement, freight execution, control tower, Cargoo platform), built from competitive analysis and your depth of experience from within the ocean freight and logistics industry.
- Competitive intelligence on global forwarders, 4PLs and digital freight platforms, turned into battlecards and objection handling the sales team uses
- Core copy: website, sales decks, proposals, case studies, launch announcements and executive bylines
- Brand messaging for our evolving brand portfolio
- Events end to end: transport logistic Munich, Manifest Europe in Lisbon, and our Zurich customer and partner summit
- Pre-booked meeting programs with sales: target accounts, invitation sequences, meeting calendars, and the right buyers registered and present
- Sales enablement: sales presentations, briefing packs, talk tracks, follow-up sequences.
- Direction of the Marketing Coordinator, who runs day-to-day execution and tracking
What we're looking for
- 7+ years in B2B marketing, with at least 3 in logistics, freight, shipping or supply chain technology
- Real understanding of how shippers and forwarders buy: tenders, rate cycles, carrier allocation, service-level trade-offs
- Proven positioning and messaging work you can show, ideally a framework you built and saw adopted by sales
- A track record of running international trade shows, with meeting and pipeline numbers you can talk us through
- Project management to the detail: suppliers, deadlines and budgets across several events at once
- Excellent written English. You write clearly and compellingly in the voice of the customer and on behalf of executive leadership.
- Competitive by nature: you track what competitors claim and know where we win
- German and French is a plus, not a requirement
