Senior Product Manager - Business Banking
Description
Job Description
At WSFS Bank, we empower our Associates to grow their careers, guide our customers to secure their financial futures, and actively support our Communities so they can fully thrive. Careers with WSFS Bank offer an inclusive and supportive culture, competitive salaries, advancement opportunities, and more. We are the region's locally headquartered bank and wealth management company. We are honored to consistently be named a Top Workplace by our Associates, who make a difference every day for the people, businesses, and Communities we serve. We Stand For Service® is more than part of our name, it’s our mission and our purpose.
WSFS Bank is a $25 billion regional bank, headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware. Business banking is a priority growth area for us, and we are hiring this role to bring us to the next level. As a Senior Product Manager, Business Banking, you will own the product strategy and roadmap for how small and mid-sized business clients open, fund, and run their primary operating relationship with WSFS. You will partner closely with product leaders across Deposits, Cards and Payments, Digital, and Treasury Management, as well as Business Banking relationship managers, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Technology.
What You'll Do:
- Own the business banking product strategy and roadmap, tied to clear growth, primacy, and profitability goals
- Spend time with relationship managers, branch associates, and business clients to understand how owners and their teams actually bank, and turn what you learn into a prioritized set of problems to solve
- Improve the business account opening and onboarding experience across branch, digital, and relationship manager-assisted channels
- Drive activation and primary-account behavior for business clients, including those who open operating accounts alongside a loan
- Improve the business lending experience by reducing friction and speeding the path from application to funding
- Lead go-to-market for business-facing products and capabilities, working with Deposits, Cards and Payments, Digital, and Treasury Management to deliver seamless client experiences
- Build business cases, define success metrics, and track performance against them, including balances, activation, revenue, and client satisfaction
- Work with Technology, Operations, Risk, and Compliance to define requirements, sequence delivery, and launch on time
- Monitor the competitive landscape across national banks, regional banks, and FinTech's, and bring a point of view on where WSFS should invest
- Evaluate and manage third-party partners and vendors that support business banking products
- Present recommendations and results to senior leadership with a clear view of tradeoffs
Who You Are:
- Passionate about business clients. You care about the owner running payroll on Friday and the controller closing the books, and you want to make their banking easier
- Curious. You ask why before you ask how, go to the source to find answers, and are not satisfied with a first explanation
- Client-obsessed. You start with the client's problem, not a feature idea, and you test your ideas with real clients and frontline associates
- Analytical and sound in judgment. You use data to find the opportunity and make tradeoffs, and you can explain your reasoning clearly
- An owner. You take responsibility for outcomes, follow through, and bring solutions as well as problems
- A strong collaborator. You build trust across Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and the business, and you earn influence through credibility
- Comfortable with ambiguity. You can make progress with incomplete information and adjust as you learn
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 5 years of product management experience
- At least 2 years of experience in business banking, small business banking, commercial payments, or a fintech serving small business clients
- Experience defining requirements and delivering products in partnership with engineering teams
- Experience using data to size opportunities, set goals, and measure results
- Ability to work across teams and influence without direct authority
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or other advanced degree
- Experience with business account opening, onboarding, or operating account products
- Experience with business or commercial lending products, including origination workflows
- Working knowledge of banking regulations that shape product design, such as KYC and CDD, BSA/AML, and fair lending
- Experience working with core, loan origination, or digital banking platforms and their vendors
- Experience conducting direct client and frontline research, and turning findings into product decisions
- Strong written and verbal communication, including presenting to senior leaders
