Senior Quality Automation Engineer
Innovation Team
We are looking for an experienced Quality Automation Engineer to join our innovation team and contribute to the development of new testing and quality engineering solutions.
The role focuses on designing and building reusable solutions that improve software testing, product quality, and delivery efficiency. Depending on the problem, these solutions may use conventional software development, workflow automation, applied AI, or a suitable combination of these approaches.
You will work closely with the Innovation Lead to explore internal and client-facing challenges, validate ideas, and develop prototypes and pilot solutions. Promising concepts will be developed further into stable, documented solutions that can be applied across multiple projects.
Depending on the initiative, you will also collaborate with senior test automation engineers, AI engineers, and other technical specialists.

Responsibilities
- Identify recurring testing and quality engineering challenges and explore potential technical solutions.
- Design and develop test automation frameworks, tools, and reusable components.
- Build prototypes to assess the feasibility and potential value of new ideas.
- Develop successful concepts into stable and measurable pilot solutions.
- Create automation solutions using conventional software, workflow platforms, applied AI, or a suitable combination of these approaches.
- Integrate testing, development, and enterprise systems through APIs and automated workflows.
- Integrate new solutions into CI/CD pipelines.
- Define appropriate quality gates and make reliability, test results, and efficiency improvements measurable.
- Ensure that the developed solutions are maintainable, secure, testable, and well documented.
- Evaluate new technologies and determine where they can provide practical value.
- Support client demonstrations, technical workshops, and presales activities.
- Contribute actively to the evaluation and development of new innovation ideas.
- Several years of practical experience in test automation or quality engineering.
- Strong programming skills in at least one widely used language, such as Python, TypeScript, Java, or C#.
- Experience designing or significantly extending a test automation framework.
- Practical experience with web or API test automation and a solid understanding of test design.
- Knowledge of regression testing, test stability, maintainability, and the appropriate use of different test levels.
- Practical knowledge of APIs, Git, and CI/CD processes.
- A software engineering approach to code structure, automated checks, debugging, and documentation.
- Practical experience with an LLM-based application, AI-supported solution, agent-based workflow, or modern workflow automation platform.
- The ability to investigate partially defined problems and turn them into practical technical solutions.
- The ability to work effectively with both existing technology stacks and newly selected tools.
- An interest in exploring new technologies and evaluating their usefulness objectively.
- Professional communication skills in Hungarian and English.

- Web, API, mobile, desktop, contract, or performance testing tools and approaches.
- Workflow automation platforms such as n8n, Power Automate, or Copilot Studio.
- Applications built with LLM APIs or AI-agent-based solutions.
- Agentic workflows, structured outputs, tool calling, RAG, MCP, AI evaluations, or tracing.
- Test result analytics, observability, and automated quality gates.
- Docker, cloud platforms, or lightweight web interface development.
- Consulting, client-facing, or presales work.
- Direct involvement in shaping the technical direction of a developing innovation practice.
