Senior Software Developer
Description
Senior Software Developer – Agent Card Team
What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a Senior Software Developer within our Corporate Payments division. This position falls under Corpay’s Payables line of business.
The Senior Software Developer will help build and evolve AI-enabled payment products for Corpay’s Agent Card team. This role will design, develop, and support secure, scalable services and integrations that enable customers and partners to interact with Corpay capabilities through APIs, MCP tools, and agent-driven workflows.
The ideal candidate is a strong hands-on engineer who can embrace a contract-first, evidence-based workflow, acting as an architect-supervisor of AI — someone who takes ownership of complex technical work, verifies reality in the codebase before making assumptions, contributes to architecture and design decisions, and thrives in a highly collaborative development environment.
How We Work
As a Senior Software Developer, you will be expected to work in a virtual environment.
Corpay will set you up for success by providing:
Company-issued equipment
Formal, hands-on training
Role Responsibilities

Design, build, test, deploy, and support production-grade software services, APIs, and integrations.
Develop capabilities that support AI-enabled and agent-driven payment experiences, including virtual-card provisioning and related workflows.
Build and maintain secure integrations with internal platforms and external partners.
Contribute to technical design, architecture, code reviews, and engineering standards.
Use AI-assisted development tools to guide a spec-first software delivery lifecycle — directing AI coding agents with clear architectural constraints, building reusable AI skills/workflows, and critically verifying AI-supported design, implementation, testing, review, and refinement.
Work closely with peers in collaborative development sessions, including group design, group coding, and shared review activities.
Work with Product, Security, Compliance, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical, maintainable technical solutions.
Ensure solutions meet expectations for security, authentication, auditability, reliability, performance, and scalability.
Troubleshoot production issues and drive problems through to resolution.
Continuously improve development practices, automated testing, observability, and delivery processes.

Experience developing and supporting cloud-based applications and working with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform or Pulumi.
Experience with API security, authentication, and authorization patterns, including OAuth/OIDC and token-based access.
Demonstrated ability to direct and supervise AI-assisted development tools and adapt to AI-driven development practices.
Comfortable working transparently and collaboratively with peers through group problem-solving, design reviews, code reviews, and shared ownership of delivery.
Strong understanding of automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, source control, and modern software delivery practices.
Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.

Experience with AI-enabled applications, MCP servers/tools, LLM integrations, agentic workflows, or related technologies.
Experience with AWS services, serverless architectures, Node.js/TypeScript, Java, or .NET.
Experience in payments, financial technology, virtual cards, or regulated environments.
