- The Senior Software Engineer will play a critical role in advancing the reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) platform
- Working on foundational platform capabilities, this role will design and build distributed systems that enable resilient workflow execution while supporting the continued growth of one of Chainlink’s flagship products
- Design, build, and operate highly scalable platform services that improve the reliability and performance of the CRE platform
- Lead the development of production-grade backend services and APIs that support multiple internal stakeholders and platform consumers
- Drive architectural improvements that enable both vertical and horizontal platform scaling
- Improve workflow execution durability and platform resilience through thoughtful engineering, rigorous testing, and operational excellence
- Partner with engineering teams across the organization to deliver cross-functional platform initiatives from architectural design through production deployment
- Strengthen platform ownership by reducing operational silos, improving documentation, and increasing shared knowledge across the engineering organization
- Contribute to improving platform reliability through engineering practices aligned with service reliability objectives and measurable operational outcomes
- Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale production platforms
- Experience building production APIs and backend applications serving multiple stakeholders
- Self-driven approach with a high degree of ownership, technical curiosity, and continuous learning
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills within cross-functional engineering environments
- Strong experience designing and operating distributed systems
- Strong systems thinking with the ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs and solve complex technical problems
- Demonstrated ability to deliver reliable, high-quality software through rigorous engineering practices
- Advanced proficiency developing production systems in Go (Golang)
- Experience defining, measuring, and improving service reliability through SLOs and SLIs
- Experience developing software using TypeScript, Solidity, or additional backend technologies
- Strong interest in blockchain infrastructure and Web3 technologies
- Experience developing financial infrastructure, banking systems, or other mission-critical distributed platforms
- Experience building decentralized applications (dApps)
