Senior System Analyst (Grocery)

Description
We are looking for a Senior Systems Analyst to join Storefront Core, the team building inDrive’s marketplace backend for grocery and restaurant partners. You will own the specifications that our AI pipeline turns into services, with people approving at defined gates.
- Turn partner and customer needs into traceable requirements and stories with Given/When/Then acceptance criteria and edge cases
- Model the system: state machines (cart, order, payment, refund), domain models, and sequence diagrams
- Define API contracts and event schemas (OpenAPI, AsyncAPI) and specify partner and payment integrations
- Specify failure and concurrency behaviour (retries, duplicates, timeouts), and NFRs with concrete numbers
- Shape service boundaries and data ownership with architects, recorded as ADRs
- Write specs as machine-readable inputs for AI agents and review their output against intent
- Work with QA and analytics on test scenarios, events, and KPIs
- 5+ years as a system analyst in e-commerce, marketplace, or grocery
- Strong requirements and modelling skills (UML/BPMN, state machines, domain models)
- Solid backend understanding: REST and event-driven systems, API design, idempotency, eventual consistency
- Confident SQL to verify data yourself
- Hands-on experience with AI assistants and awareness of their failure modes
- Clear written English and comfort challenging stakeholders with evidence
