Senior Talent Acquisition Manager
Description
The Role
We’re hiring our first Senior Talent Acquisition Manager to own recruiting at Singularity. You’ll start hands-on, personally running searches across the company, then build and lead a recruiting team within your first 3–6 months. You’ll partner closely with leadership and our People Operations lead as a functional owner, and report to the COO.
What You’ll Do
- Own full-cycle recruiting across engineering, production, program management, BD, and G&A, from intake and sourcing through closing and offers
- Partner with leadership and hiring managers to define roles, leveling, and hiring plans tied to program and production milestones
- Personally source and close hard-to-fill technical talent, including propulsion, guidance and controls, embedded, test, and manufacturing engineers
- Evaluate and improve our interview process: structured loops by role family, scorecards, clear decision owners, and fast feedback
- Hire, onboard, and manage a recruiting team, such as technical recruiters and coordinators, as hiring volume grows
- Get the most out of our existing ATS, build hiring metrics and reporting for leadership, and recommend tooling changes as we scale
- Run compliant hiring for a defense environment, including U.S. person/ITAR requirements and coordination on clearance eligibility and sponsorship
- Build sourcing channels and employer brand, including referrals, defense and aerospace networks, universities, and military transition pipelines
- Partner with People Operations on compensation benchmarking, offers, and the new-hire experience
What You Bring
- 7+ years of full-cycle recruiting, including meaningful time at a high-growth startup
- Track record recruiting technical talent in defense, aerospace, hardware, or deep tech
- Experience building recruiting processes from scratch, ideally as an early or first recruiting hire
- Experience managing recruiters or recruiting coordinators
- Working knowledge of ITAR/export control hiring considerations and the security clearance process
- Strong sourcing and closing skills with senior and highly competitive candidates
- Sound judgment, discretion, and comfort operating with minimal structure
- U.S. person status required (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual under ITAR)
Nice to Have
- Experience recruiting cleared talent or supporting facility clearance (FCL) growth
- Network in LA aerospace and defense, national labs, or the military transition community
