This position combines advanced Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Dataverse development skills with hands-on expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS).

The successful candidate will oversee technical implementation, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure the delivery of secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions. Working alongside engineering, architecture, product, and data teams, you will help modernise existing platforms, improve integration capabilities, and establish effective development and deployment practices.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role suited to an engineer who can combine strong development expertise with solution design, problem-solving, and team mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Development & APIs: Develop and maintain REST APIs, GraphQL endpoints, microservices, and cloud-native applications to support business processes and system interoperability.
  • Technical Leadership: Drive technical delivery from initial design through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimisation.
  • Development Standards: Establish and promote engineering best practices, code quality standards, automated testing, and maintainable software design.
  • CI/CD & Deployment: Implement and improve automated build, testing, and deployment pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions.
  • Monitoring & Production Support: Investigate application issues, monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and maintain the reliability of production environments.
  • Platform Enhancement: Identify opportunities to modernise existing systems, improve integration architecture, and automate repetitive operational activities.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, enterprise architects, data engineers, developers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Mentoring & Knowledge Sharing: Provide technical guidance to engineers, support professional development, and encourage consistent engineering practices across the team.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of overall relevant professional experience in software engineering, enterprise application development, cloud solutions, or systems integration.
  • 6+ years of Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience, including development, customisation, plugins, Dataverse, and API-based integrations.
  • 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience, with a strong understanding of cloud architecture and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Practical experience with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, S3, and IAM.
  • Strong knowledge of REST API design and consumption, GraphQL, and microservices architectures.
  • Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD automation, version control, and automated testing.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, monitor cloud applications, and support production systems.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical delivery, contributing to architectural design, and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and cross-functional software development environments.
