Software Development Technical Project Manager
Description
The Technical Project Manager will lead software development initiatives from requirement discovery through delivery. The successful candidate will combine practical project management discipline with enough hands-on programming knowledge to communicate effectively with engineers, understand technical constraints, and translate stakeholder needs into clear, actionable work. This role does not require expert-level programming experience, but it does require confidence operating in a technical environment, understanding system-to-system integration best practices, and asking informed questions of cross-functional teams to ensure a robust design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and drive software projects through scope definition, scheduling, execution, risk management, and delivery.
- Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements from stakeholders, subject matter experts, developers, and other project participants.
- Translate stakeholder needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, process descriptions, and technical documentation.
- Maintain project backlogs, boards, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and status reporting in Atlassian JIRA or Asana.
- Partner with suppliers, software developers, and technical leads to clarify requirements, evaluate tradeoffs, and identify delivery risks early.
- Communicate project status, decisions, risks, and next steps clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Create and maintain accurate project documentation, meeting notes, decision logs, process flows, and implementation summaries.
- Triage product issues submitted by both internal Stellantis stakeholders and external users of the products.
- Support quality delivery by ensuring that requirements are testable, acceptance criteria are understood, and completed work aligns with agreed objectives.
