The Work

We are seeking an Software Engineer to join a Mission Systems team that develops software applications supporting critical business and mission objectives. The incumbent will execute all phases of the software development lifecycle—requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation—under very general supervision. Success requires strong teamwork, clear communication, and the ability to coordinate with Systems Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Program Management, and the Software Architecture group. Familiarity with Agile development, DevSecOps, DO‑178C, C/C++, Python, Linux, GitLab, and Atlassian tools is desired.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of professional software‑development experience or 3 years with a Master’s degree.
• Proven track record designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining complex software systems.

Desired Skills

• Expertise in multiple programming languages (C/C++, Python, C#) and software‑architecture patterns.
• Deep experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, static analysis, and configuration management (GitLab, Jenkins, Make/CMake).
• Strong background in Agile Scrum, serving as Scrum Master or Product Owner (certification preferred).
• Experience with DO‑178C, safety‑critical development, and model‑based engineering (MBSE, SysML/UML).
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead small development teams.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and presentation skills for inter‑organizational and customer engagements.
