Standard Job Description
Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or above from an accredited college in computer science, computer engineering and/orelectrical engineering.
- Experience presenting and communicating across technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with embedded real-time systems
- Experience with C++, C#,
- Experience with Agile methodology and tools in the development, integration, and test of complex softwaresystems and environments.
Desired Skills
- Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira & Confluence)
- Experience with EVMS/CAM preferred
- Familiarity with C-130J platform preferred
- Familiarity with ARINC-664, 661, 653, AFDX, TSN
- Familiarity with FAA TSO process
- DER certification a significant plus
- Experience with DO-178B/C
- Experience with static/dynamic code analysis tools
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to dialogue, negotiate, influence and work with others collaborativelyand constructively
- Strong presentation and communication skills
