Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 1.5 - 2.5 hours per day

Job Summary:

As a Spartan Kids School Year Program Aide (High School), you will play a vital role in supporting the Lead and Assistant Teachers in creating a nurturing and educational environment for school-age children. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with the teaching team, organizing supplies and projects, and ensuring a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all students and families. This dynamic position will require flexibility, organization, and a passion for working with children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively with Lead and Assistant Teachers to understand daily tasks and priorities.
• Set up supplies and project materials daily, ensuring a stimulating learning environment.
• Ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants.
• Create a warm and welcoming environment for students and families, fostering positive relationships and a sense of belonging.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the learning environment, including sanitizing surfaces and monitoring student activities.
• Provide support to Lead and Assistant Teachers and students as needed throughout the day.

Qualifications:

• Fun, nurturing, and caring attitude, with a genuine passion for working with children.
• Highly organized and flexible, able to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
• Previous experience working with school-age children (ages 5-12) preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and interact positively with children and families.
• Punctual and reliable, able to begin work shifts on time and fulfill scheduled hours.

Compensation:

Pay Range: $13.65 - $15.00 DOQ
Benefits: Earned Sick and Safe Time, PERA
