Description

About TPConnects
TPConnects is a travel technology company specialising in airline distribution. Our flagship product, Iris, is a modern distribution platform that connects travel agencies and direct consumers to airline content via NDC, GDS, and low-cost carrier (LCC) content. This role sits within the Iris product team, working exclusively on Iris documentation.
About the role
We are looking for a Technical Writer to join the Technical Documentation Team within the Iris Product Team. You will own documentation for multiple Iris product squads, working closely with product managers, engineers, and QA to produce accurate, timely, and well-structured content across our API guides, portal user guides, and release notes for both B2B and B2C audiences.
Role Title
Technical Writer (Airline or travel tech industry experience)
Role Location
Warsaw, Poland / Dubai, UAE
What we are looking for:
  • Airline or travel technology industry experience is strongly preferred: solid familiarity with NDC, GDS, LCC, PNR workflows, and airline distribution concepts is essential to performing this role effectively from day one
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technical Writer in a SaaS or API-first product environment
  • Native or first-language English fluency: our documentation is customer-facing and must meet a high standard of clarity and precision
  • Strong discipline around terminology consistency: able to maintain and apply a product glossary, enforce naming conventions across multiple doc surfaces, and flag terminology drift when it occurs
  • Hands-on experience with a documentation CMS (ReadMe, GitBook, Stoplight, MadCap Flare, or similar)
  • Experience with Markdown and a Git-based documentation workflow (branching, PRs, merging)
  • Experience with Postman for API testing, building and maintaining collections, and verifying request/response behaviour
  • Solid knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger: able to read and interpret specs independently, identify schema changes, and translate API behaviour into clear developer-facing documentation
  • Experience working with JSON: able to read and interpret API request and response structures, identify field-level changes, and use JSON examples accurately in documentationExperience documenting REST APIs or NDC-based airline APIs
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for feature tracking and documentation planning
  • Proficiency in Figma: both for reviewing product designs and for creating annotated screenshots and screen assets for use in documentation
  • Experience creating training videos or screencasts to complement written documentation
  • Comfort working in an agile delivery environment across multiple squads simultaneously
Soft skills
  • Proactive communicator: raises questions and flags issues early, without waiting to be prompted
  • Highly detail-oriented: catches terminology inconsistencies, field name changes, and content errors before they reach customers
  • Self-organised and able to work independently across multiple workstreams with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable managing stakeholder relationships across engineering, product, and QA teams, and confident asking hard questions when scope or content is unclear
  • Adaptable: handles shifting priorities, mid-cycle scope changes, and delivery pressure without friction
  • Intellectually curious: enjoys digging into complex technical domains and understanding how things work, not just documenting what they are told
Nice to have:
  • Experience with ReadMe.com specifically
  • Basic image editing or annotation skills for screenshot preparation
