Temporary Special Education Level V Paraprofessional

WORK HOURS:
6.5 hours per day (8:35 a.m. to 3:35 p.m.), Monday through Friday, beginning immediately through approximately October 9, 2026 with the possibility of extended time.

JOB DUTIES:
Duties may include:
1. Assist student(s) with special needs in the classroom (i.e. behavior management, social skills, crisis intervention and instruction in basic skills)
2. Supervise special education student(s) to ensure safety
3. Assist with collecting and monitoring of student progress data.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School diploma
2. Highly Qualified per MDE requirements for special education paraprofessionals*
3. Acceptance of students' disabilities and limitations
4. Must be able to lift, pull, or move a minimum of 50 pounds
5. Accepts direction from supervising teacher(s) and is willing to work as a team

*Attach passing exam scores from either the ParaPra / ParaEducator or college transcripts to your application.

SALARY and BENEFITS:
Salary based on the 2025-2027 School Support Employees Agreement Level V from $20.58 up to $22.91 per hour.
