Turf Technician/Delivery Driver

General Purpose:

We are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a Turf Technician & Delivery Driver. This position combines equipment transportation with hands-on service and maintenance of turf equipment.

The ideal candidate enjoys driving, working with equipment, and helping customers. Responsibilities include safely transporting equipment between dealership locations and customer sites, supporting equipment deliveries, and performing basic diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on turf equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone with a CDL and mechanical aptitude who enjoys a varied role and wants to grow their technical skills.

Equipment Transportation

• Safely transport equipment to and from customer locations and between dealership facilities.

• Pick up new equipment from John Deere factories or other designated locations as needed.

• Support the sales department with equipment deliveries and customer needs.

• Maintain accurate records of pickups and deliveries, including required signatures and receipts.

• Maintain required CDL certifications and comply with DOT regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies.

• Accurately track time and distance traveled while performing assigned duties.

• Maintain the condition and cleanliness of assigned trucks and related equipment.

• Communicate professionally with customers, sales personnel, and service teams regarding delivery schedules and changes.

• Provide basic equipment operating instructions to customers as needed.

Turf Equipment Service & Maintenance

• Perform basic diagnostics, service repairs, and preventative maintenance on customer-owned and dealership-owned turf equipment.

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

• Complete repairs using appropriate tools, equipment, and technical manuals.

• Participate in John Deere Service EDUCATE training programs to develop technical knowledge and skills.

• Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive turf equipment products.

• Keep tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas clean, organized, and in good working condition.

• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when performing service work.

• Complete required service reports, work orders, timecards, and documentation.

• Accurately account for time and materials used when completing assigned repairs.
