Technatomy is seeking a UX/UI Design Lead to shape user experiences and interfaces for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) pharmacy traceability project. You design receiving and exception workflows around pharmacy staff and operational users. You coordinate research, interaction design, accessibility, and implementation reviews so users can understand transaction status and complete work efficiently across sites.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Define the service blueprint and user journeys for receiving, verification, exceptions, disposition, and support interactions.

• Define interaction patterns for pending, rejected, confirmed, and physically verified outcomes, including error recovery, approval cues, and clear next actions for receiving staff.

• Define scanner, form, approval, and status patterns for SAP Fiori receiving and selected Dynamics SCM or model-driven Power Apps screens, consistent with each platform's supported controls.

• Coordinate user research and usability testing with pharmacy stakeholders and translate findings into design improvements.

• Integrate accessibility needs into designs and work with Section 508 specialists to resolve interaction barriers.

• Review implemented screens with developers and analysts against approved designs and business rules; link usability and accessibility findings to backlog changes and verification outcomes.

• Maintain design specifications and support pilot feedback, adoption improvements, and updates across delivery teams.

• Prioritize design changes using research findings, accessibility results, and pilot feedback, and maintain reusable patterns that support consistent behavior across application screens.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• At least 6 years of relevant professional experience in user experience, user interface design, or interaction design.

• Experience leading UX/UI design for enterprise applications or operational business workflows.

• Ability to develop service blueprints, user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and interaction specifications.

• Experience applying research findings and usability evidence to improve application design.

• Working knowledge of accessible design, keyboard interaction, clear status communication, and error prevention.

• Ability to collaborate with business users and developers and explain design decisions through practical examples.

• Ability to reconcile user needs, platform constraints, and business controls and communicate design decisions through testable prototypes and implementation guidance.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:

• Experience designing healthcare, supply chain, or scanner-based receiving applications.

• Familiarity with SAP Fiori, Dynamics 365 SCM mobile receiving, or model-driven Power Apps design conventions and screen-reader interactions.

• Experience supporting Section 508 accessibility reviews.

• Prior experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or other Federal agency applications or projects.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

CLEARANCE:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

WORK LOCATION:
