Visual Designer
Description
Everforth ECS is seeking a Visual Designer to work in a HYBRID schedule in our Arlington, VA office.
ECS is seeking talented professionals to join our growing team supporting the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency's (CISA) Technical Engineering and Support Services (TESS) program. TESS is CISA's integrated, capability-driven mission ecosystem designed to scale across mission and delivery spaces within the DHS/CISA/Cybersecurity Division.
About the Role
CISA's Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative (JCDC) is looking for a Visual Designer to support operational products, dashboards, and communications — in the same spirit as the visual design work done for HIVE. You'll help turn complex cybersecurity information into clear, compelling visuals that support national cyber defense coordination.
What You'll Do
- Design operational visuals — Create diagrams, infographics, briefing decks, and dashboard interfaces that communicate threat intelligence and cyber operations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support JCDC products — Build visual assets for playbooks, after-action reports, situational awareness products, and public-facing cyber advisories.
- Collaborate with analysts and ops teams — Work closely with cybersecurity analysts, program managers, and engineers to translate raw data and technical findings into accessible visuals.
- Maintain visual consistency — Apply and evolve a design system/style guide across JCDC products, ensuring a professional, unified look similar to the HIVE visual standard.
- Create data visualizations — Design charts, network diagrams, and timelines that simplify complex, multi-source cyber data.
- Iterate quickly — Turn around design requests under tight operational deadlines, especially during active incident response periods.
- Support UI/UX for internal tools — Contribute to the look and feel of internal dashboards or collaboration platforms used by JCDC partners.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000
