Description

Have experience in sales and working with CROs? Ready to build on that experience and learn a specialized area of clinical trial services?

We’re looking for a mid-level Business Development Executive to help grow our clinical trial importation and Importer of Record (IOR) business.

You’ll connect with CROs, clinical trial sponsors, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, and research organizations to understand their needs and introduce services that help clinical trial materials move across borders, particularly into Latin America.

Sales experience and CRO exposure are required. Previous IOR, customs, or regulatory services experience is not required—we will train you in our services and approach.

Job Purpose

Develop new business by identifying potential clients, building relationships, and connecting their clinical trial needs with our importation and IOR solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Prospect for new clients through outreach, networking, referrals, and industry events.

  • Build relationships with CROs, sponsors, and other organizations involved in clinical research.

  • Meet with prospective clients to understand their international clinical trial needs and identify opportunities.

  • Learn our IOR and clinical trial importation services and communicate their value clearly.

  • Partner with internal regulatory and operational specialists to answer technical questions and develop client solutions.

  • Prepare presentations and proposals, follow up on opportunities, and support commercial negotiations.

  • Maintain accurate CRM records, manage your sales pipeline, and work toward agreed sales goals.

  • Stay engaged with clients to develop lasting relationships and additional business opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated business development or sales experience, including prospecting and developing new business.

  • Sales exposure to CROs, through employment at a CRO, selling services to CROs, or working with CROs in a commercial capacity.

  • Familiarity with the clinical trial industry and the roles of CROs and sponsors.

  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and follow-up skills.

  • A proactive approach, commercial curiosity, and willingness to learn technical services.

  • Ability to organize a sales pipeline and maintain accurate CRM information.

  • Experience selling CRO services to pharmaceutical or biotechnology sponsors.

  • Spanish proficiency.

  • Exposure to international clinical trials or Latin American markets.

Work Setting

  • Based in Raleigh, North Carolina.

  • Full-time / Hybrid position.
