Standard Job Description

Missiles and Fire Control is seeking an Operations Analyst Sr to support the Industrial Engineering Center of Excellence. This position sets and deploys the engineering basis for how production work is defined, timed, scheduled, and measured across the MFC manufacturing network. The selected candidate will:

• Develop and maintain engineered labor standards and routings, and defend the basis of those standards to program, finance, and operations leadership

• Analyze production spans, queue, and work in process to identify non value added time and quantify recoverable hours

• Build capacity and rate readiness models supporting production rate increase decisions

• Translate standards and work center efficiency into scheduling parameters that drive realistic system lead times

• Perform factory layout, flow, line balance, and takt analysis in support of throughput and footprint decisions

• Partner with site industrial engineering, production control, quality, and finance to deploy common methods across multiple locations

• Convert analysis into executive facing recommendations, stating assumptions and verification status of every figure

• Coach and develop site level industrial engineers on method, tooling, and analysis rigor

Work supports a range of MFC operations including machining, energetics, electronics integration, and test.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations Research, or related technical discipline from an accredited institution

• 3 years of professional experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or operations analysis

• Experience developing and maintaining labor standards and manufacturing routings in a production environment

• Working knowledge of ERP production data structures: work centers, routings, operations, lead time, capacity, order execution

• Experience performing capacity, line balance, or throughput analysis on live production

• Demonstrated experience working directly on a factory floor with production, planning, and quality

• Advanced Excel and demonstrated ability to analyze large production data sets

Desired Skills

• Direct SAP PP experience: routings, work centers, capacity planning, order execution, scheduling parameters

• Familiarity with MIL-STD-1567A and the Type 1 and Type 2 engineered standard distinction

• Predetermined time system experience such as MOST or MODAPTS, and time study or work sampling experience

• Discrete event simulation experience such as FlexSim, Simio, ProModel, or AnyLogic

• Data tooling beyond Excel: Power BI, SQL, Python, or equivalent

• MES experience, Apriso preferred

• Experience deploying a standard method across multiple sites, not a single plant

• Familiarity with EVMS concepts, earned value, and EAC development on a labor hour basis

• Lean, Six Sigma, or kaizen event facilitation experience

• Prior experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated low rate high mix production

• Active DoD security clearance
