Senior Backend Developer – CCTV AiNomaly

About the role

CCTV AiNomaly applies computer vision to production footage to help teams detect errors and understand when and where problems occur. We work with both retrospective video analysis and real-time detection.

As the first dedicated software developer on the product, you will play a central role in building its technical foundation. Working closely with our AI vision engineers, you will turn models and existing setups into software that can be deployed, monitored and maintained across production sites.

A key part of the role will be integrating CCTV AiNomaly with Global CCTV solution, based on Qognify. Together with the Global CCTV team, you will build the integrations and automated workflows that connect production footage with AI analysis and actionable results.

This is a hands-on development role with significant technical ownership. You will help set the architectural direction and write the code that brings it to life, from backend services and integrations to infrastructure, automated deployment and model execution.

Your responsibilities

• Design and develop the backend services and infrastructure supporting CCTV AiNomaly.
• Determine where and how AI vision models should run, balancing cloud and local processing with latency, connectivity, security and operational needs.
• Automate workflows for video processing, model deployment, inference and delivery of results.
• Develop and maintain integrations with the Qognify-based Global CCTV solution, enabling automated access to relevant footage for retrospective investigations and real-time analysis.
• Work with AI vision engineers to package and deploy models, manage versions and monitor their operation.
• Establish CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, monitoring and logging.
• Build for reliable daily operation through maintainable code, clear documentation and practical support procedures.
• Collaborate with production teams, Global CCTV colleagues and platform specialists to develop solutions that work on the shopfloor.

Required Skill/Experience/Education and Qualifications:

What you bring

You are an experienced backend developer who enjoys taking ownership and building a strong foundation for a growing product. You can make sound technical decisions, explain your choices and move from discussion to working software.

We expect you to bring:

• Strong backend development experience, preferably with .NET/C# and Azure.
• Experience designing APIs, integrating systems and building reliable services.
• Practical knowledge of cloud infrastructure, containers, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience operating software in production, including troubleshooting, monitoring and performance optimization.
• The ability to balance long-term architecture with pragmatic delivery.
• A collaborative approach and strong communication skills in English.

You do not need to be an AI researcher. Your core contribution will be the software engineering that makes AI models useful and dependable in production.

It would be an advantage if you have

• Experience deploying and running computer vision or machine learning models.
• Familiarity with Python, video processing, GPU workloads or edge computing.
• Knowledge of Qognify or similar video management systems, including integration of live video, recordings and event data.
